Eclipse recently produced The Education World Forum; an event we have produced for years, the job involved a two-day conference at Westminster Park Plaza for 600 people followed by a day conference and delivery of a gala dinner at ExCel London.

An expert team of 36 set up the show onsite, with new sponsors added right up to event day, our designers were able to work with the client and get even the very last sponsor into the digital collateral. On the day of the rig the show caller was taken ill and the team were left with a void. With such a strong technical team, many of whom had worked on the event before, we were able to seamlessly adjust the roles of some of the crew and facilitate one of the senior technicians to step into the role.

In previous years, the gala dinner had been taken offsite, this year it took place on location one hour after the main plenary had finished, complete with a performance from London Youth Choir with a freshly installed piano. The last session was in one half of the room and the dividing wall was in situ. In the planning stages, schematics were carefully drawn up and plans made to allow for the easy transition of this scenario. The whole room was set up as two separate systems, using a networked control system all aspects could be controlled from one side of the room which meant that technically we were always ready to go!

The client was extremely happy with the result and the event was a resounding success. Plans for 2019 are already underway!
